Our services include assisting all offenders in making a smooth and successful transition back into society, providing house placement for offenders in need of a place to stay while they work on getting back on their feet, residential treatment, family support, artisan skills training, and literacy training. Our participants have access to comprehensive alcohol and substance abuse treatment programs, as well as conflict and mediation services, a work-release program, and we assist guide adolescents along new and healthy routes. For juvenile offenders under the age of 21, we assist in connecting them to programs or stakeholders that provide a tiered system of punishments in which the appropriateness of probation is assessed before institutionalization. This is part of our comprehensive and integrated family-based strategy to dealing with delinquent kids.
We assist first-time offenders in obtaining specialized case management services, residents in obtaining employment, individual and family treatment, and ongoing training and assistance to lessen the likelihood of a relapse or the individual reoffending.
On behalf of our residents, we liaise with appropriate case workers in accordance with the Probation Services Act of 116 of 1991. During this period, criminals and victims of crime receive the care and therapy they require, as well as support from their families and the community. During this time, they must report to the Probation Officer on a regular basis and must follow the terms of the Probation Order, such as restriction checks and participation in appropriate programs. The Probation Officer will also work with the probationers' parents to provide parenting ideas on probationer management, develop family relationships, and support and aid in the probationer's rehabilitation.
